Terms
The following terms and conditions are intended to ensure your stay is enjoyable and there are no unlikely problems arising through any misunderstandings.
1. If you have to cancel your booking and we haven't managed to fill your dates for a refund, we are happy to email a cancellation invoice for insurance purposes.
2. Our Covid-19 promise: We are happy to postpone bookings if there is a national lockdown. We will hold provisional dates or leave it open, as you wish. Otherwise a full refund will be made, minus bank fees if incurred.
3. To accept both Lazybed and Batbox can only accommodate a maximum of two adults.
4. The Lazybed, Batbox, croft and car park are not to be used as a base or for entertaining other friends / family staying elsewhere.
5. We’re really sorry, but no pets are allowed under any circumstances including pets left in vehicles.
6. To respect and look after the accommodation, decking and surrounding area during your stay and leave the property clean and tidy. There is no need to remove the bedding before departure, but please wash, dry and put away used crockery and pans etc.
7. Please do not fry fish such as mackerel and herring. Open windows if cooking a fry up especially on the morning of departure.
8. Please do not walk inside with dirty shoes and boots. Leave bikes and kayaks outside in the car park.
9. To accept that the responsibility for personal property of guests occupying the accommodation is solely theirs. All vehicles are also left at the guests risk. Also guests agree to absolve the property owner of any responsibility for any accident or mishap to persons or property whilst on the premises or whilst engaged in any activity therein, or from any illness or injury arising from any cause whatsoever.
10. Please take responsibility to minimise fire risk and on arrival please read the fire and safety regulations in the information folder provided. No smoking inside or on the croft. No candles and no BBQ on the premises. Please note gorse and peat are highly flammable therefore do not throw cigerette ends in the bush.
11. Please appreciate if there is a problem with the electric, plumbing or a breakage, we will endeavour to fix it or replace it as soon as we possibly can, (as your comfort is paramount!) We have very few tradesmen to choose from due to low population in the area, this often means we will have to wait at least a few days. Thanks in advance for you patience.
12. To reimburse the owner for any breakages, loss or damage, other than due to fair wear and tear.
13. To accept the owners discretionary £50 charge for extra cleaning if the property has been left in an untidy mess. We ask guests to be respectful. We don't expect guests to do a full changeover, (that is our job) but please leave the property clean and tidy, as you would want to find it.
14. To allow the owners access to the property at all reasonable times.
15. To agree not to re-assign the property to another person or persons without the owners permission.
16. To pay the balance no less than 6 weeks before arrival.
17. To pay any (international) bank charges incurred on top of the fee agreed.
18. To accept the owners can not be responsible for a (exceptionally rare) water or power cut due to circumstances out of their hands. The owners will indeed communicate with either Scottish Water or Scottish Electric to keep guests updated.
19. To respect the privacy of guests staying in the other property. If leaving early in the morning or arriving late please keep noise to a minimum, so as not to disturb other guests.
20. On the morning of departure, we politely ask guests to vacate by 10am at the latest. This is due to the increased cleaning regime required between guests. Arrival time is from 4pm to 10pm.
